Advent Sermon Series
Prepare the Way: Sundays, December 3-December 24, 2023. For 2000 years people have turned to the story and message of John the Baptist to understand how to prepare their hearts to receive Jesus. We turn once again to listen to his message and learn from his life so that Christ may be born in our hearts and lives again this Christmas.
Advent Calendar & Devotional
Prepare for Christmas as a family through the season of Advent with (1) a weekly devotional that includes activities and an ornament and (2) a daily Advent calendar. Pick up a copy at the Kids Ministry desk or click on "Learn More" to download your own.
Angel Tree
To make Christmas morning joyful for all in our community, CUMC provides gifts through the Salvation Army and Children & Youth Services of Cumberland County. This year the wishes of 150 kids will adorn our Angel Tree. Gifts are due by December 3 at Noon. Gift needs will be available November 19 in the Gathering.
Silent Night Service
As we approach the darkest night of the year, we pause in this season to remember and reflect with those who are carrying hearts heavy with grief, loss, or unrealized expectations. Join us December 19 in the Chapel for songs, prayers, and scripture from 6-7pm Childcare available in the nursery.
Alternative Gifts
Alternative Gifts is a CUMC tradition of giving in honor or memory of loved ones to support our SERVE partners. It's a non-traditional gift that also blesses our community. There are 14 gift options this year. Brochures available in the Gathering or click on "learn more." All gift orders due by December 24.
Christmas Eve Morning
On Sunday, December 24 our Sunday morning schedule will change to 2 services. 9:30am Contemporary worship and 11:00am Traditional worship with communion. Both services will be available via live stream (click on "learn more.")
Christmas Eve Evening
Christmas Eve Evening we will have 3 candlelight services to choose from. 4:30pm Family service with singing by our kids choirs, extended kids chat, traditional carols, and lots of energy; 7:00pm Contemporary service with music led by our praise band. Traditional carols and new Christmas favorites; 9:00pm Traditional service with beautiful music by our combined choir, carols, and traditional liturgy.
Childcare provided at 4:30 and 7pm. Livestream at 4:30, 7 and 9pm.

9:30am Contemporary Worship Join us at 9:30am in the Worship Center for worship led by our Praise Team. Kids can stay in worship or attend Kids Worship for K-5th grade in the Kids Room. Nursery care available for infant-PreK. Laid back worship with most people wearing jeans. This service is also available via live stream here. |

11:00am Traditional Worship with Communion Join us at 11:00am in the Worship Center for traditional hymns and liturgy. Kids bags available for K-5th grade. Nursery care available for infant-PreK. This is our most formal worship with many people dressing up. This service is also available via live stream here. |
