CUMC is excited to sponsor Carlisle Ice Fest on
Friday, February 6; Saturday, February 7; and Sunday, February 8!

We’ll be set up on the square with our ice sculpture and serving FREE hot chocolate to our community—and we’d love your help making it happen.

Volunteer Opportunities:
1️⃣ Hot Chocolate Prep & Transport
Help prepare hot chocolate at the church and transport it to the square.
Note: This role involves lifting and carrying large containers.

2️⃣ Hospitality & Serving
Be the friendly face of CUMC! Greet neighbors, share smiles, and hand out hot chocolate on the square.

This is a fun, simple way to show hospitality and love to our community—no long-term commitment, just warm hearts and warm drinks.

The Vital Conversations on Immigration series was developed to help local churches explore a sacred calling: a Church that embodies justice, mercy, and hospitality. Each of the 5 sessions will invite us into deeper reflection on the realities of immigration today, guided by the voices of faith leaders, theologians, advocates, and immigrants themselves. Immigration is not merely a political issue - it is a theological and spiritual matter deeply rooted in our Christian faith.

About the movie: Meet Migo, a friendly Yeti who makes a BIG discovery... a human! Along the way, he learns about friendship, courage, and seeing the world in a whole new way!

Mindful Women meets the second Monday of the month from September thru May; our quarterly dinner meetings at 6pm at CUMC are on September 8, December 8, March 9, and May 11). These dinner meetings are lively and fun. We also meet in two small group sessions each of the other months (October 13, November 10, January 12, February 9, and April 13) at 1 or 6pm. Small group sessions are held in-person and via Zoom, during which we study and discuss various Bible or CUMC mission topics. This season we will use the book, "Alone, Together," by Brian Houser, a collection of short essays that encourage us to find ways to pause, to notice, and to reconnect.
