The Stories We Thought We Knew

Jun 07, 2026 | Jason Mackey

Noah & the Ark

The story of Noah & the Ark is about grace, justice. It's about a relationship of love. God's grace is sufficient, not only for our salvation but to model to others what it truly means to love.

The Stories We Thought We Knew
We’ve heard them before.
The stories that shaped our faith, filled our children’s Bibles, and linger in our memory from Sunday school classrooms and sanctuary pews. They feel familiar, comfortable, even predictable.
Or so we think.
The Stories We Thought We Knew is an invitation to slow down and listen again. To notice what we may have missed along the way. A detail we skimmed past. A tension we ignored. A question we never thought to ask.
In this series, we return to well-known biblical stories with fresh eyes and open hearts. We look beneath the surface and around the edges, paying attention to the human moments, the silences, the surprises, and the grace that often shows up where we least expect it.
Because these stories were never meant to be flat or one-dimensional. They are layered, living stories, stories that still speak, still challenge, still invite us into deeper faith and fuller lives.
You may know how the story goes.
But you might be surprised by what the story still has to say.
