Our Hearts Were Strangely Lukewarm

Time | Tuesday, 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Location | 333 S Spring Garden Street Carlisle PA 17013

Tuesdays, August 19 & 26, 6:30pm at CUMC (or via Zoom)

John Wesley was the original advocate for racial justice. We will talk about John Elford's book, "Our Hearts Were Strangely Lukewarm," which provides a portrayal of the Methodist church's complicated historical relationship with racism. We will discuss why it is important to understand where we've been in order to move toward a more racially just future. Led by Chris Benson.
