Chuck Steel will be kicking off a new series of exhibits on theological topics on June 20. To mark Juneteenth, also known as Liberation Day, a holiday celebrating the emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the US, he will begin with an introduction to theologian James Cone and Black Liberation Theology. Drop by Room A6 to learn more about the history of Juneteenth and Rev. Dr. Cone's work which focused on an understanding of God influenced by the experience of oppression of black people in America.
