The Power of Words

The Power of Words - God's Word to Us

Words to change you and transform you until your life speaks God's words in the world. In this sermon we look at the words we use to talk: about ourselves, and the Word God speaks to us.

  1. About Ourselves: If we had a recording of the words you most often say to yourself, what would the words be you most use?
  2.  The Word God speaks to us: From the beginning, God's word is associated with power. In Jesus the Word came to us and told us who he is and spoke the words that are meant to define us - you are chosen, you are a beloved of God, you are created in God's image, he gave himself for you.

Series Information

Sundays: October 11-25

Words have power. The Bible notes that, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." With our words we insult, or encourage, we curse or we bless. With them we build trust or tear it down. Our words have the power to strengthen relationships or to destroy them. Join us as we reflect on the power of our words and learn principles to use them as tools for life!
