Lament is a gift of the psalms. It teaches us how to walk with God and with each other in moments when everything falls apart. The psalmist writes words that we all will experience at some point in our life. "How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?"

The Psalms have been called the church's prayer book. These ancient words speak to all of life's circumstances, shape our faith and our good for heart and soul. This summer, we will let the psalms speak to our hearts and draw us closer to God.
Each week we will invite people to memorize a verse from a Psalm. As they commit it to heart, we will also ask them to reflect on how that psalm speaks to them and allows them to speak with God.
